Seasonal travel RN position in the Operating Room at Wesley Medical Center. Unit code (701), shift 2:30 PM – 1:00 AM.
Unit Information
- Location: Wesley Medical Center, 550 N Hillside St, Wichita, KS 67214
- Number of Beds: 28
- Patient Ratio: 1:1
- Equipment: DaVinci Robotics (SI, XI and Mako)
- EMR: Meditech / CPN
Typical hiring profile:
- Must have: minimum 1-year current acute-care OR RN hospital experience, BLS & ACLS
- Preferred: experience with DaVinci Robotics, ortho, neurology, vascular, and prior Meditech experience
Procedures performed: Orthopedics, GYN, General, Urology, Cardiothoracic, Vascular, Plastics, Dental, Eyes, Pediatrics, Spine, Neuro, Trauma, TAVR, MAKO, DaVinci.
Schedule
- Flexible with either 4 × 10-hour shifts or 3 × 12-hour shifts
- One late night per week
- One 8-hour working Saturday every 4th week
- One 8-hour call shift per month on Saturday or Sunday
- 30-minute response time for call shifts
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality perioperative nursing care in a 1:1 patient ratio environment
- Operate and assist with DaVinci robotic systems and other advanced surgical technologies
- Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and OR staff
- Adhere to unit policies, including on-call requirements and response times
