Travel Nurse RN - OR - Operating Room - $2,760 per week

About the role
- 13-week contract with 40 guaranteed hours per week
- 4 x 10-hour day shifts with variable start times, normally 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM; may have earlier start time of 6:30 AM or later start times of 8:00 AM or 9:00 AM dependent on cases
- Float responsibilities include pre-op, PACU, endoscopy, and circulating cases
- On-call required 1-2 times per week from end of shift to 7:00 AM the next day
- Occasional weekend call covering Friday, Saturday, and Sunday through 7:00 AM Monday
- No holiday shifts, but holiday call is required
- When on call, nurse is responsible for managing cases from surgical admission to unit discharge
Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years of experience required with strong circulating experience
- Pre/post-op experience required; PACU experience preferred
- Required certifications: BLS (ARC or AHA), ACLS (AHA or ARC), and Michigan RN license
- Required education: Associate Degree or Certificate; Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Facility uses Epic charting

- Ortho and general cases including total knee, hip, and shoulder replacements, ORIFs, hip fractures, I&Ds
- Laparoscopic appendectomy, cholecystectomy, hernia repair
- EGD/colonoscopy, lesion removals, lumpectomy, hemorrhoidectomy
- Hysteroscopy, hysterectomy, laparoscopic salpingectomy
- Cataract removal, bunionectomy

This hospital facility features 3 operating rooms and 1 endoscopy room, providing a range of surgical services across orthopedic, general, OB/GYN, ophthalmology, and podiatry specialties. The facility utilizes Epic charting and supports a collaborative surgical team environment where nurses are expected to manage patient care from surgical admission through unit discharge.

Pay
Estimated gross weekly pay: $2,760 plus a $500 contract completion bonus. Pay package is based on 10-hour shifts and 40 hours per week, including tax-free stipends for lodging, meals, and incidentals.
