Travel Nurse RN - OR - Operating Room - $2,760 per week

About the role

Alliance Services, Inc. is seeking a travel nurse RN for an Operating Room position in Wausau, Wisconsin. This is a 13‑week travel assignment with 40 guaranteed hours per week, working 8‑hour day shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform circulating duties (scrubbing preferred) in a 21‑OR facility handling 40‑60 cases daily (average 45).
• Manage on‑call responsibilities: 6‑8 weeknights and 1‑2 weekends during the contract.
• Respond to on‑call pages within 30 minutes and be ready in the OR.
• Callback minimum of 2 hours when called.
• Participate in weekend call and holiday rotation.
• May float to additional facilities as needed.
• Work with specialties including General Surgery, GYN, Urology, Plastics, ENT, and GI.
• Maintain flexibility, hard work, resilience, and effective change management.

Requirements

• 5+ years of operating room experience.
• At least one prior travel assignment.
• Experience in a larger facility with ORs of 20+ rooms.
• Da Vinci Robotic experience required.
• Trauma Level II experience required.
• Must have own vehicle (no reliance on rideshare due to on‑call).
• Current Wisconsin RN license.
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Associate degree or certificate required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Epic charting experience preferred.
• Ability to work with any scrub color.
• Demonstrated flexibility, hard work, resilience, and change‑management skills.

Skills

• Da Vinci Robotic proficiency.
• Trauma Level II OR experience.
• Circulating (scrubbing preferred) expertise.
• Familiarity with Epic charting.

Pay

Estimated gross weekly pay: $2,760 plus a $500 contract completion bonus. Pay is based on 8‑hour shifts and 40 hours per week, with weekly direct deposit.

Schedule

8‑hour day shifts with a variable mix of 0700‑1530, 0900‑1730, and 1100‑1930. 40 guaranteed hours per week. On‑call: 6‑8 weeknights and 1‑2 weekends per contract; 30‑minute response required, 2‑hour callback minimum. Weekend call and holiday rotation required.
