Travel Nurse RN - OR - Operating Room - $2,735 per week

About the role

Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse (RN) position in a critical access facility approximately 38 miles northwest of Bangor, Maine. Assignment begins 10/26/2026 and ends 01/23/2027, supporting a busy surgical department with general, orthopedic, podiatry, gynecology, obstetrics, endoscopic, and urology procedures. Shift schedule: Monday through Thursday, 7:00 am to 4:30 pm (40 hours per week).

Responsibilities

• Support the surgical department by circulating a variety of case types (general, orthopedic, podiatry, gynecology, obstetrics, endoscopic, urology).
• Learn and perform pre‑op/PACU duties and monitor cardiac rhythms.
• For CSTs: scrub across general, orthopedic, GYN, endoscopic, and urology cases.
• Handle patient transport and room turnover due to lack of transporters/housekeeping staff.
• Participate in call shifts (4‑8 per month, 4:30 pm‑7:00 am) with a 20‑minute response time, including one weekend call per month and potential holiday coverage.
• Use Cerner EMR, Alaris IV pumps, and Pyxis medication dispensing system.
• Complete four shifts of department‑based orientation; take call independently starting week two.
