Travel Nurse RN - OR - Operating Room - $2,690 per week
About the Role
Operating Room (OR) Nurse in Windsor, Vermont. This position involves functioning as a key member of the surgical team in a small community setting, providing services in general surgery, urology, ophthalmology, podiatry, pain, and endoscopy procedures. The clinical nurse will work in a circulating and scrubbing capacity, supporting outpatient procedures for patients aged 16 and older. Prior cataract experience is non-negotiable for this role.
Responsibilities
- Function as a circulating and scrub nurse in the Operating Room
- Support outpatient procedures in general surgery, urology, ophthalmology, podiatry, pain, and endoscopy
- Provide care for patients aged 16 and older
- Adhere to on-call requirements: weekday call 2-3 days/week with 1-hour callback; weekend call once per month with 1-hour callback
- Communicate call-offs at least 1.5 hours in advance, following the Mt Ascutney 3 strike rule
Requirements
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in the Operating Room
- Scrubbing and circulating experience
- Experience working in a smaller ambulatory surgery facility
- Phase I/PACU experience
- Multiple surgical experience
- Cerner EMR experience
- Travel experience highly preferred
- BSN preferred
- Vermont state license
- BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications
- Own vehicle (public transportation unavailable)
Schedule
- Days shift, 8 hours per shift
- Minimum 40 hours per week
- 13-week duration starting 09/08/2026
No travel time off requests will be approved post-upload beyond 5 days; all requests must be submitted at the time of application. Scheduling requests should be made at submission; post-offer scheduling requests may be rescinded.

Pay
Pay package is based on 8-hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
