Travel Nurse RN - OR - Operating Room - $2,580 per week

About the role

Operating Room (OR) Specialist position available in an acute care setting. This role involves supporting a busy surgical unit with a variety of procedures including general, ENT, eye, orthopedics, robotics, trauma, vascular, and pediatric cases. The position requires collaboration with surgical teams to ensure smooth case flow and patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Circulating cases
• Scrub assisting for RN staff
• Supporting emergent and scheduled surgical procedures
• Float to outpatient surgery

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license
• ACLS (American Heart Association)
• BLS (American Heart Association)
• 2 years of experience in the specialty
• 2–3 previous travel assignments
• Orthopedics experience
• EPIC electronic medical record proficiency
• Pass the arms in and out for robotics

Preferred Qualifications

• PALS certification

Schedule

• Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum 40 hours per week
• Shift times: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM Monday through Friday
• Varied start times during day/evening
• Weeknight and weekend on-call rotations (30-minute response time)

Experience

• 2–3 years of relevant operating room experience
• Passing arms in robotics
• Prior travel experience

Certifications

• ACLS and BLS required
• PALS preferred

Additional Information

• Willingness to wait for license submission
• Charge nurse/house supervisor duties may be part of the role
• Float rotation may be required
• Scrub dress code provided
