Travel Nurse RN - OR - Operating Room - $2,475 per week

Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse (RN) in Appleton, WI. This position involves providing surgical nursing care within a busy operating room setting across various specialties, including gynecology, breast, and orthopedics. The role requires flexibility due to rotating shifts with variable start times, and candidates must have a minimum of three years of OR experience with strong circulator skills.
Job Details
- Location: Appleton, WI
- Schedule: 8-hour rotating shifts with variable start times of 6:15 AM, 9:00 AM, 11:30 AM, or 1:00 PM; guaranteed 40 hours per week
- Contract Length: 13 weeks, with start date on 09/28/2026 and end date on 12/26/2026
- Certifications: Wisconsin RN license, AHA Basic Life Support (BLS), AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Minimum Education: Associate degree or certificate; preferred bachelor's degree
- Experience: Minimum three years of operating room experience; previous travel experience strongly preferred depending on individual background
- Charting: Epic charting system experience within the past year required
- Skillset: Extensive circulator experience required with proficiency in managing patient ratios of 1:1; primary cases involve heavy gynecological, breast, and orthopedic surgeries with use of Davinci XI surgical robot
Schedule and Rotation Details
Every third weekend on call; may work one major holiday. Flexibility required for weekend, holiday, and on-call rotations, with approximately 30-minute response times for call back.
Float Requirements
Flexibility to float throughout the facility and to all healthcare provider facilities within a 60-mile radius as needed.
Additional Information
Missed shifts must be made up within 2 weeks; orientation includes 8-hour unbillable GSA hours.
Experience
At least 3+ years of OR experience required; previous travel experience strongly preferred depending upon background.
