Travel Nurse RN - OR - Operating Room - $2,355 per week

Job Summary

Operating Room (OR) Nurse in Lake Charles, Louisiana. This full-time position involves providing independent, routine, and complex nursing care in an outpatient setting. The role requires the ability to monitor, assess, and plan patient care within a fast-paced surgical environment, ensuring adherence to established protocols and standards.

Job Details

• Schedule: Days shift from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (preferred)
  • 0 years of experience required
  • BLS certification via AHA required
  • ACLs certification via AHA required
  • PALS certification via AHA required
  • RN License in the state of Louisiana or a compact license
• Preferred Qualifications: 1 year of experience in the operating room or relevant surgical specialty

Position Details

• Type of patients on the unit: Pediatric, Adult, Geriatric
• Cases include but are not limited to: Pain management procedures (injections/Kyphoplasty), ENT procedures (ear tubes, tonsils, sinus, thyroid), Urology (cysto, TURP, PCNL, Lithotripsy, robotic sacrocolpopexy, partial kidneys), Gynecology (total lap hysterectomy, ablations, lap gyn, D&C), Podiatry, General surgery (cholecystectomy, appendectomy, hernias), and some orthopedic cases (hip pinning, knee scope, shoulder scopes)
• L&D is a separate service, so no C-sections or deliveries
• No current requirement for float rotation

Pay

The pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
