About the Role

Operating Room Circulator RN position at WVU Thomas Health - Thomas Memorial Hospital in South Charleston, WV. This role involves working alongside ORTs; scrubbing is not required.

Responsibilities

• Circulate in 12 surgical suites averaging 30 cases per day, including general surgery, orthopedic, GYN, urology, ophthalmology, vascular, and plastic surgery.
• Chart using Meditech.
• Float to Endoscopy if not needed in Surgery.
• Adhere to rotational on-call requirements for weeknights, weekends, and holidays (8-hour call shifts) with a 30-minute response time.
• Wear scrubs provided by the surgery vending machine.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience as an RN circulator (preferred).
• Active nursing license and BLS certification.
• Valid driver’s license (must be included with submittal and address must be outside a 50-mile radius of the facility).
• Candidates can only apply to one job at a time within the WVU system.
• Strict 2-year break required between permanent employment at WVU and travel eligibility.
