About the Role

CH Cottage Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse – Operating Room Circulator to join its Surgical Services team for a 13-week contract. The RN will be responsible for providing safe, efficient, and high-quality perioperative nursing care throughout surgical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the circulating RN during surgical procedures.
• Coordinate and maintain a safe, sterile operating-room environment.
• Perform pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative nursing responsibilities.
• Verify patient identity, surgical procedure, consent, and site before procedures.
• Assist with patient positioning, surgical preparation, and safety checks.
• Monitor patient status throughout the procedure and communicate changes to the surgical team.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with hospital policies.
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and other OR staff.
• Ensure appropriate surgical supplies, equipment, medications, and specimens are properly handled.
• Participate in surgical counts and maintain patient safety standards.

Contract & Schedule

• 13-week contract (August 24, 2026 – November 21, 2026)
• 8-hour day shifts, Sunday – Saturday
• Weekly overtime after 40 hours
• Daily overtime after 24 hours, based on applicable multiplier
• Both local and travel candidates accepted (50-mile radius rule applies)
