Responsibilities
- Care for critically or chronically ill cancer patients
- Administer chemotherapy
- Implement new methods of symptom treatment
- Monitor patients' progress
- Create a supportive environment for patients
- Provide care for cancer patients throughout all stages of their conditions, focusing on the acute phase
- Assist patients ranging from post-surgical to near-terminal in managing their disease and treatment effectively
- Administer chemotherapy as required
- Educate cancer patients about treatment options, procedures and particularities of the disease
Requirements
- Active RN License
- Degree from accredited nursing program
- BLS & ACLS Certifications
- Eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care Oncology setting
