Travel Nurse RN - Oncology - $2,280 per week

A Medical Surgical Oncology Nurse is needed in Raleigh, North Carolina. This role involves providing competent clinical nursing care to patients in a hospital setting, with responsibilities including patient assessment, care planning, education, and safety management. The nurse will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes and safe care delivery.

Responsibilities

• Provide competent clinical nursing care to patients in a hospital setting
• Assess patients and develop care plans
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Manage patient safety
• Provide patient and family education and emotional support
• Treatments/Services: Chemotherapy and biotherapy infusions; blood product administration; IV iron, fluids, and electrolytes; port lab draws and injections
• Skills and Experience: Feedback provision, regulatory guideline awareness, healthcare standards compliance, interdisciplinary collaboration, discharge planning, education participation, patient education, safety management, communication systems usage, cost-effective care promotion, hospital environment safety, cultural competence, task prioritization, and research application

Requirements

• Active North Carolina Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least 1 year of nursing experience
• At least 2 years of outpatient chemotherapy/immunotherapy infusion experience
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification
• ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy certification
• Nursing diploma, ADN, or associate degree from an accredited school of Nursing

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited institution

Pay

The pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
