About the Role
HealthTrust Workforce Solutions HCA is seeking a travel nurse RN specializing in Oncology for a position in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. This role is a 13-week travel assignment starting on 09/07/2026, with a requirement of 36 hours per week on 12-hour night shifts. The position may require floating to other units and hospitals, and candidates must be willing to work holidays and every other weekend. The schedule may also accommodate 48 hours per week.
The Oncology Unit is a newly reopened 16-bed unit dedicated to patients with a variety of cancer diagnoses. Nurses in this unit specialize in chemotherapy administration and maintain a 1:5 patient ratio. The multidisciplinary team includes oncologists, nurses, pharmacists, and support staff, all focused on providing compassionate and specialized care in an optimal healing environment.
Responsibilities
- Administer chemotherapy and provide specialized nursing care to oncology patients.
- Float to other units and hospitals as required.
- Work holidays and every other weekend.
- Maintain a 1:5 patient ratio in a 16-bed Oncology Unit.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, compassionate care.
Requirements
- Active RN license.
- Specialty in Oncology.
- Willingness to work 36 or 48 hours per week, including nights, holidays, and every other weekend.
- Ability to float to other units and hospitals.
