This position involves providing specialized care for patients undergoing post-tumor surgical interventions, with a focus on medical and surgical patient needs. The role requires delivering patient-centered care in a fast-paced acute care environment, ensuring accurate documentation and effective communication.
Schedule
- Days, 12-hour shifts
- Minimum 36 hours per week
- Assignment starts on 09/14/2026 and ends on 12/21/2026
Responsibilities
- Deliver patient care specific to post-operative oncology patients
- Manage titratable and set rate drips (heparin, lidocaine, TPN)
- Read EFM strips
- Utilize central monitoring systems
- Adhere to fingernail and radius policies
- Demonstrate good communication, documentation, and timeliness
Requirements
- BLS (AHA)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a medical-surgical oncology setting
- Valid nursing license
- Must pass a skills exam during orientation with a minimum score of 90%
Preferred Qualifications
- Oncology certification (a plus but not required)
