Travel Nurse RN - Oncology - $2,097 per week

About the role

We're looking for Oncology RNs for an immediate travel nurse opening in Munster, IN. The right RN should have 1-2 years recent acute care experience. Specialty: Oncology; Discipline: RN.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate treatment plans.
• Provide patient education and treatment tracking.
• Be a reliable source of comfort and support for cancer patients and their families.
• Attend to a great number of details while working under pressure.
• Implement best practice treatment protocols in a variety of settings.
• Administer chemotherapy under physician direction.
• Implement new methods of symptom treatment and monitor patients' progress.
• Educate cancer patients about treatment options and procedures.
• Stand and walk for long periods; bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty.
• Lift up to 20 pounds routinely; moving or lifting patients may require up to 50 pounds.
• Be aware of hazards from exposure to chemicals and infectious diseases.

Requirements

• BLS certification.
• 1‑2 years of recent acute care experience (or 2 years as noted).
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
