About the role

Medasource is seeking a travel nurse RN OB/GYN for a 3 weeks 36 hours per week shift starting ASAP.

Responsibilities

  • Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
  • Appropriately assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care.
  • Maintains accurate documentation of patient condition and communicates with the care team, physician, patient, and family.
  • Aids patients with activities of daily living such as personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
  • Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, including patient transfers, discharges, referrals, and spiritual/psychosocial support.
  • Evaluates learning needs of patients and families and provides appropriate education.
  • Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
  • Attends C/Sections, assists the physician during deliveries, and monitors the neonate post-delivery.
  • Attends fetal monitoring certification classes every two years and S T A B L E certification class if offered.
  • Able to communicate necessary information to physicians and patients.

Requirements

  • Must have ACLS, BLS, NRP, STABLE & AWHONN certifications.
  • Must have WY RN or RN compact license.
  • Must have 2 years recent RN Level 1 Nursery, Postpartum, OB/GYN & L&D/LDRP experience.
  • This can include post-op hysterectomy, antepartum care, triage care, labor and delivery care, and postpartum care.
  • Candidate may be required to float to another unit depending on facility census.

Pay

The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
