Travel Nurse RN - Nursery - $1,751 per week

Location: Gadsden, Alabama. Travel nurse RN Nursery position.

About the role

We're looking for Nursery RNs for an immediate travel nurse opening in Gadsden, AL. The right RN will have at least 1-2 years' recent acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor medical operations
• Advise patients and family on illnesses or injuries
• Plan long-term care needs
• Monitor patients' vital signs
• Monitor patients' emotional and physical well-being
• Report any changes
• Administer treatments, medications, tests and procedures
• Provide basic care to well babies
• Provide light oxygen therapy to babies
• Respond promptly to the needs of a newborn
• Administer vaccinations and newborn screens per hospital policy
• Stand and walk for long periods of time
• Bend, lean and stoop without difficulty
• Lift or move patients up to 50 pounds
• Cope with stress and relate to people of all ages and backgrounds

Requirements

• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• NRP certification
• Minimum 2 years recent acute care experience (1‑2 years)
• Additional certifications may be required before assignment

Pay

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.

Schedule

Duration: 13 weeks; 36 hours per week; 12‑hour day shifts.
