About the role
Renown Regional is seeking a highly experienced Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse (RN) in Reno, Nevada. The position involves delivering specialized nursing care to neonatal patients within a Level 3 NICU or higher, requiring ventilator training and a minimum of three years of dedicated NICU experience. This role offers the opportunity to work night shifts with a weekly guarantee of 36 hours, providing comprehensive patient care in a state-of-the-art facility.
Schedule
- 3x12 night shifts per week
- Minimum of 36 hours per week
- Schedule varies based on department needs and may include weekends, holidays, and call shifts
- Expect to pick up one additional shift during the schedule period
- The department may call off shifts with 48 hours' notice without penalty
- Travelers may be required to float to meet the needs of the organization up to their competency level
Responsibilities
- Provide optimal neonatal patient care utilizing nursing assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation skills
- Coordinate care among healthcare professionals, considering family involvement and patient psychosocial needs
- Maintain standards of quality and safety, ensuring patient/resident outcomes across a full episode of care
Requirements
- Valid ability to obtain and maintain a Nevada Registered Nurse license
- BLS certification
- NRP certification
- Minimum of 3 years exclusive NICU experience in Level 3 NICU or higher
- Ventilator trained
- Prior travel experience of one 13-week assignment

Pay
Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
