Travel Nurse RN - NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care - $2,400 per week

Travel nursing assignment in Dulles, Virginia for a NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care Registered Nurse. Assignment starts 08/24/2026, lasts 13 weeks, with 36 hours per week on 12-hour night shifts.

Unit Details

• Number of Beds: 5 (expandable to 6)
• Staffing:
  • Day Shift: 1 charge RN, 1 RN (2 RNs when unit is open)
  • Night Shift: 1 charge RN, 1 RN (2 RNs when unit is open)
• Patient Ratios: Depends on acuity and volume
• Equipment: Giraffes, Pandas, Syringe Pumps, Hospira Pumps
• EMR: Meditech

Responsibilities

• Perform typical NICU procedures:
  • IV Antibiotics
  • Dextrose infusions
  • TPN/Lipids
  • PO/NG feeds
  • Umbilical Line maintenance
  • Oxygen Support
  • Nasal CPAP
  • Surfactant administration assist
  • Delivery attendance
  • Family centered care for mothers and families
• Float to Postpartum to care for well newborns and assume NRN role in L&D at deliveries

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years NICU experience at Level 2 or greater in a hospital setting
• Active compact nursing license at submission
• BLS certification (required)
• NRP certification (required)
• NRP skills to attend vaginal and c-section deliveries

Preferred Qualifications

• STABLE Certification
• Nursing Certification within specialty
