Job Summary
The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) specialization position is located in Nampa, Idaho. This role involves providing specialized nursing care in a Level II NICU with 8 private suites, caring for infants 32 weeks and greater with common diagnoses including respiratory distress, hypoglycemia, NAS opioid withdrawal, and feeders and growers. The role requires attending deliveries, stabilizing newborns, and collaborating within a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.
Job Details
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM; minimum of 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications
- Certifications: BLS Certification, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Stable certification.
- Experience: At least 2 years of NICU experience.
- Licensure: Valid licensure to submit.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background: Background in mother-baby care or NICU nurse care for both NICU babies and mothers.
- Skills: Ability to attend and stabilize newborns during deliveries, including scheduled, urgent, and emergent cesarean sections.
Additional Information
- Float: Float to all St. Lukes Treasure Valley sites including Meridian, Nampa, and Boise in the NICU or as a sitter.
- Radii: Radius rule of 50 miles, and candidates current addresses will be verified to ensure compliance.
- Shifts: Coverage on weekends and holidays based on unit needs, with no minimum holiday requirement. No call required.
- Orientation: 3 days in the unit, with compliance and EPIC Curio assignments completed before start.

Pay Package
The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
