Job Summary

Medical Surgical Neurology Floor nurse position in Fargo. This role involves providing compassionate and skilled care to patients on a 32‑bed unit, with a focus on neurology and general medical‑surgical needs. The successful candidate will work 12‑hour day shifts, rotating every other week between day and night shifts, supporting various units as needed in a large hospital setting.

Schedule

Start Date: 10/12/2026 | Duration: 13 weeks | 36 hours per week (12‑hour shifts). Shifts are 12 hours, with every other weekend and every other holiday off. Rotation between days and nights is flexible based on unit needs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care on a 32‑bed Neurology/Medical‑Surgical floor.
  • Deliver compassionate, skilled nursing care to both neuro and general MS patients.
  • Float to other units/departments as needed to support coverage.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in a large, 200+‑bed hospital.
  • Utilize Epic Electronic Medical Record (EMR) for documentation and care coordination.

Required Qualifications

  • Active North Dakota or Compact State RN license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA).
  • National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
  • Minimum 2 years recent medical‑surgical nursing experience.
  • At least 2 years in a hospital environment with 200+ beds.
  • Strong medical‑surgical nursing skills and ability to float across multiple units.
  • Valid Epic EMR experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Neuro patient care experience.
  • Proficiency with Epic EMR.

Additional Information

  • Must badge in and out at the facility and adhere to a navy‑blue scrub dress code.
  • Local travel options available for candidates residing 60–80 miles from the facility, with a reduction of $8.00 per hour in client rates for those candidates.
  • Prior employment with Cross Country Nurses must have ended at least 6 months before submission.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
