Travel Nurse RN - Neurology - $2,395 per week

Job Summary

Medical Surgical Neurology Floor Nurse in a neuro and stroke unit. This role involves providing patient care for a variety of acute care patients, including surgical and neurological cases, within a busy hospital environment. Staff will work on rotating nights, with scheduled shifts of 12 hours, and may float to other medical-surgical units as needed. The position requires collaboration, organization, and adherence to established protocols to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Schedule

• Straight nights, 12-hour shifts
• Minimum of 36 hours per week
• Duration: 10/12/2026 to 01/11/2027
• Rotating weekends and holidays
• On-call responsibilities are very rare
• Float to other medical-surgical units may be required

Required Qualifications

• Valid licensure to submit
• BLS (AHA)
• Minimum 1 year of experience in medical-surgical or stroke/neuro units
• NIH Stroke Scale certification preferred
• At least 2 years of relevant clinical experience preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• NIH Stroke Scale and ACLS certifications are advantageous but not required

Unit Details

• 8-bed stroke/neuro unit
• EPIC charting system
• Plum IV pumps and Plum PCAs
• Approximately one week of preceptor-led orientation in a setting similar to a general medical-surgical environment, with training on routines, unit processes, and equipment
• Dress Code: Navy blue uniforms
