Travel Nurse RN - Med Surg / Telemetry - $3,165 per week
Job Summary
The Medical Surgical with Telemetry nurses position is based in Peoria, Illinois. This role involves providing comprehensive patient care on a dedicated neuro unit within an acute care setting. The assignment requires clinical expertise in trauma, neuro conditions, and telemetry monitoring, supporting the hospital's commitment to high-quality patient outcomes.
Job Details
Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 48 hours per week, starting on 08/17/2026.
Duration: 26 weeks.
Employment Type: Travel.
Required Qualifications
Active Illinois license or confirmation that application has been initiated;
BLS (AHA), NIHSS certifications;
At least 1 year of clinical experience;
Experience working on a dedicated neuro unit;
Trauma level 1 experience;
Prior travel experience (no first-time travelers).
Preferred Qualifications
Previous neuro ICU or specialized neuroscience experience;
Experience titrating drips, specifically heparin gtt based on PTT.
Responsibilities
Managing neuro patients, including stroke, spine surgery, seizures, brain tumors, head injuries, and overflow medical cases;
Troubleshooting high flow oxygen equipment for stable COVID-19 patients;
Reading telemetry strips from Phillips monitors;
Collaborating with charge nurses and house supervisors.
