Travel Nurse RN - Med Surg / Telemetry - $2,650 per week

About the Role

HealthTrust Workforce Solutions HCA is seeking a travel nurse RN for a Med Surg / Telemetry position in Salem, Virginia. This is a 13-week travel assignment starting on 08/10/2026, with a schedule of 36 hours per week on 12-hour day shifts.

The role is located at LewisGale Medical Center, 1900 Electric Road, Salem, VA 24153, within the Main Hospital's Med Surg unit.

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 36
• Number of Staff: 55 employees
• Staffing Breakdown:
  • Day Shift: 1 Clinical Coordinator, 6 RNs, 3 Techs, 1 Unit Secretary
  • Night Shift: 1 Clinical Coordinator, 6 RNs, 2 Techs
• Patient Ratios: 1:6
• Equipment Used: Baxter IV pumps, Medfusion pumps, SCDs
• EMR System: Meditech

Responsibilities

• Care for post-operative patients
• Maintain drains
• Perform wound care and dressing changes
• Manage drain systems

Requirements

• BLS certification (required)
• Experience with post-operative patients (preferred)
• Competency in dressing changes, wound care, and drain management
