Travel Nurse RN - Med Surg / Telemetry - $2,475 per week

Located in Livingston, Texas. Start date: 11/02/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Schedule: 48 hours per week, 12‑hour day shifts. Employment type: Travel. Medical Surgical With Telemetry (MS TELE) registered nurses are needed in an acute care setting within a healthcare provider’s facility. This role involves providing compassionate patient care on a unit that specializes in orthopedic and high‑flow respiratory patients, utilizing telemetry monitoring. The position requires adaptability, strong communication, and effective time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessment
• Monitor patients using telemetry
• Ensure compliance with unit protocols
• Float rotation may be required

Requirements

• ACLS and BLS Certification
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an RN in Medical Surgical with Telemetry
• Active RN license to submit
• Willingness to float to all Med/Surg units

Qualifications

• Unit beds: 12
• Nurse aides (PCTs) present with a patient‑to‑nurse ratio of 5‑6/1
• Patients may require Cpap, Bipap, or high‑flow oxygen
• New staff undergo two shadow/orientation shifts before independent case management
• Unit uses Allscripts charting system
• Schedule cannot be guaranteed as block scheduling
