Travel Nurse RN - Med Surg / Telemetry - $2,460 per week
Job Summary
This Registered Nurse (RN) position specializes in Medical-Surgical with Telemetry (MedSurg/Tele) in a healthcare facility located in Macon, Georgia. The role involves providing specialized nursing care to post/pre cardiac patients and step-down intensive care unit (ICU) patients, including those with diagnoses such as congestive heart failure (CHF), chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI), non-ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (NSTEMI), and sepsis. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment.
Responsibilities
- Patient assessment
- Wound care
- Post-operative monitoring
- Discharge planning
- Patient education, especially regarding renal and fluid management
- Assisting with patient care tasks such as vital signs, glucose checks, ambulating patients, and transporting as needed
Required Qualifications
- Valid nursing license
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- BCR (Basic Cardiac Rhythm) certification
- 2 years of MedSurg/Telemetry RN experience
Preferred Qualifications
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
- Nationally recognized Med-Surg nursing certification

Schedule
Nights shift, 8-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week.
Pay
Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 48 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.

- Patient ratios: RN: 1:4-6; CNA: 2-3 per shift
- Support staff includes CNAs, a unit secretary, charge nurses, phlebotomists, PICC team, discharge nurses, resource nurses, and 24/7 specialized teams including RT, hospitalists, and intensivists
- Orientation includes one day for educational modules and two additional days departmental
