Travel Nurse RN - Med Surg / Telemetry - $2,316 per week

About the role

Care for cardiac and neurological patients on a med‑surg/telemetry unit with a typical 1:6 patient‑to‑nurse ratio at Berkshire Health System, 3 East, Pittsfield, MA.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to cardiac and neurological patients on a med‑surg/telemetry unit.
• Monitor telemetry and respond to dysrhythmias.
• Maintain a 1:6 patient‑to‑nurse ratio.

Requirements

• Minimum of four years of current med‑surg/cardiac/neuro experience.
• Telemetry experience required.
• Strong cardiac and neuro skills.
• Willingness to float to other units as needed.
• Completion of a basic dysrhythmia course (required).
• Meditech Expanse experience preferred.
• Submission checklist: current skills checklist showing high cardiac/neuro proficiency, work history, one signed supervisory reference from the past two years, certifications, license, permanent address, and all requested time off and scheduling requests (no more than five days of requested time off).
• Agency must upload its Massachusetts Temporary Nursing Service Agency license with the profile.

Qualifications

• Active AHA BLS certification.
• Active AHA ACLS certification.
• NIHSS certification.
• Current Massachusetts RN license.

Skills

• Telemetry experience.
• Strong cardiac and neuro assessment and intervention skills.
• Preferred: Meditech Expanse EMR experience.

Schedule

• 12‑hour night shifts, 36 hours per week.
• Every other weekend required.
• Holidays as needed; travelers must cover two of the three major holiday periods listed by the facility.
• No call and no block scheduling.
• Travelers must provide their own vehicle and reside more than 50 miles from the facility.
