About the role
- Position: Registered Nurse (RN) in the Medical Surgical/Telemetry Unit at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, OH
- Shift: Night shift, 3×12-hour shifts per week, every other weekend, every other holiday
- Eligibility: Traveler must live more than 100 miles from OhioHealth Grant, 111 S Grant Ave, Columbus, OH 43215
Responsibilities
- Independently read and interpret telemetry
- Provide care on an acute-care telemetry medical-surgical unit with 25+ private beds
- Manage moderate- to high-acuity patients (no ventilated patients)
- Adhere to a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-6
- First to float as needed
- Cover holidays when required
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of Stepdown (SD) or Critical Care (CC) experience
- Experience in a large hospital setting
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
Hospital & Unit Details
- 1,059-bed magnet hospital and Level II trauma center
- Epic EMR system in use
- Navy scrubs required
- No on-call requirement
