This role involves providing patient care for adult and geriatric patients with a variety of medical-surgical diagnoses, including post-surgical, orthopedic, neuro, and vascular conditions. The position requires flexibility to float within scope to meet facility needs and adherence to unit protocols, especially those related to the ERAS program. Job Details Position Description: 12-hour day shifts, starting between 3-4 weeks due to compliance tiers, with biweekly start dates. Shift Schedule: Days, 12 hours, minimum 36 hours per week, with an on-call component. Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing or equivalent, valid state license (MO or IL required at time of submittal), minimum of 2 years of experience, BCLS certification, and experience with surgical patients following ERAS protocols. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with neurosurgery, total joint replacement, post-surgical care, orthopedic and neuro surgeries, proficiency in EPIC charting system, and previous experience in a community hospital setting. Additional Requirements: On-call availability, weekend shifts every other week, float within scope, and adherence to compliance deadlines. Additional Information: Must have at least 3 years of experience if first-time traveler; RTO requests limited to a maximum of 7 days; specialty focus on surgical patients including complex ortho and neuro cases; all travelers will float across service lines within their competency.
