Travel Nurse RN - Med Surg / Telemetry - $2,050 per week

Job Summary

Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical with Telemetry at a healthcare organization in Joplin, Missouri. This position involves providing high-quality patient care in an acute care hospital setting, focusing on post-cardiac catheterization, cardiac monitoring, and general medical overflow patients. The role requires collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details

• Shift: Days, 12-hour shift from 07:00 to 19:00 with a minimum of 36 hours per week

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license (meets the criteria to be eligible for licensure in the state of Missouri or currently licensed in Missouri)
• BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• 2+ years of experience in Stepdown or Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in an acute care hospital
• Experience with insulin gtts, precedex, titrating nitroglycerin, and Cardizem

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with post-operative surgical patients and trauma care
• Familiarity with cardiac medications and protocols such as cardiac gtts for dysrhythmias, pacemaker insertion, and non-titrated cardiac drips

Unit Information

• Bed counts, patient ratios estimated at approximately 1:6, equipped with IV pumps, computers, glucometer, and GE monitoring equipment
• Utilizes EMR system EPIC
