Responsibilities

Provide patient care to post-cardiac procedure patients, such as heart caths, ablations, and pacemaker insertions, along with managing complex cardiac conditions including A-fib RVR, ESRD, CHF, sepsis, and behavioral health issues. Perform strong assessment and critical thinking, demonstrate proficiency in clinical procedures and telemetry interpretation.

Requirements

• Current active compact license
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
• American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Two years of strong cardiac/telemetry experience, including at least one travel assignment
• Recent Electronic Medical Record (EPIC) charting experience (will require a checkoff class)
• Experience with post-cardiac procedures, telemetry interpretation, drip management, central line care, and detox/CIWA protocol
• Strong assessment and critical thinking abilities

Qualifications

• Experience in trauma level II settings
• Experience with inpatient PIV insertion
• Chest tube/indwelling drain management
• CBI/renal biopsy procedures
