Travel Nurse RN - Med Surg - $2,875 per week

Job Summary

This position involves providing acute care to Neuroscience patients, including those with strokes, seizures, surgical/spinal procedures, and neurological disorders. The role requires strong neuro-specific skills, proficiency with electronic medical records, and the ability to work night shifts in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details

• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 4 days per week, minimum of 48 hours weekly
• Start Date: 07/27/2026

Required Certifications, Education, and Experience

• BLS (AHA)
• NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale)
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a neuro-oriented setting

Preferred Qualifications

• Recent Epic experience
• Strong Neuro experience
• Proficiency with G-tubes
• Ability to read strips from monitors
• Familiarity with titration of drips based on physician orders

Unit Notes

• The unit covers 20 beds, with a ratio of 1:5-6 for floor patients; nurse aides assist with a ratio of 1:7-10.
• RT (Respiratory Therapy) is available 24/7 for ventilator management and other respiratory equipment, managed primarily by RT and physicians.
• Telemetry monitors are present, but RN's are not required to read strips.
• Flexibility for floating to other hospital units may be required, with possible float to 7E, 7W, 7NE, or 10E on first priority.

Weekend and Holiday Requirements

• Scheduled for every other weekend or 3 weekends per month, with Friday through Sunday or Saturday through Monday shifts.
• Holiday work is required, and the position may involve standby or call duty.
