This position involves providing high-quality patient care in a busy acute care environment, with a focus on adult and geriatric patients. The role requires flexibility within the scope of practice and adherence to clinical protocols, particularly EPIC charting and dysrhythmia management. Job Details Position Description: Provides patient care in the Medical Surgical specialty within an acute care hospital setting. Must pass Relias EKG exam and manage dysrhythmias as part of duties. Certifications: BCLS, ACLS (required) and successful pass of Relias EKG exam. Education & Experience: Valid license in state of practice, at least one year of clinical experience in medical-surgical nursing preferred. Schedule: Dayshift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 48 hours per week. Patient Care Responsibilities: Managing patients with conditions such as acute renal failure, pneumonia, pancreatitis, urinary tract infections, cirrhosis, sickle cell crisis, chest pain, COPD, diabetes, and other acute medical conditions. Special Procedures & Equipment: Blood draws, blood glucose testing, EKGs, dialysis, endoscopy, wound care, IV management, and use of Epic charting system. Additional Information: Must pass hospital-specific compliance requirements, including parking and lab tests within set deadlines. Floating within scope of practice and within service line may be required. Submission Requirements: Applicants must be able to start within 3-4 weeks, and are expected to commit to the signed contract for the specified period.
