Travel Nurse RN - Med Surg - $2,400 per week

About the role

Medical Surgical Floor Registered Nurse (RN) providing patient care on a busy, high-acuity medical-surgical unit within a Level 1 trauma center. The unit has 15 private rooms with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 5:1 during day shifts and 6:1 during night shifts. The position entails initial patient admissions, care until transfer, and working within a fast-paced environment utilizing electronic medical records and unit equipment. Dress code requires Navy Blue scrubs.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in general medical and surgical patient care
• Initial patient admissions
• Care for patients awaiting transfer to their units
• Float rotation may be required

Requirements

• BLS (AHA) certification
• At least 2 years of previous Medical/Surgical (Med Surg) experience
• Experience in a Level 1 trauma center
• Experience with Epic electronic medical record system

Qualifications

• Valid nursing license
• Willingness to wait for license submission
• Ability to work in a busy, fast-paced setting

Skills

• Proficiency with Epic EMR
• Experience using Zebra phones
• Experience with Omnicell medication system
• Experience with Aleris IV pumps
