Med Ninjas is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Des Moines, Iowa.Job Description & RequirementsSpecialty: Med SurgDiscipline: RNStart Date: ASAPDuration: 13 weeks36 hours per weekShift: 12 hours, nightsEmployment Type: TravelJob Summary: Position Type: Travel Med Surg RN Unit Details: 22-bed Med Surg unit Patient types: General med surg including renal, transplant, and urology Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:5-6 Scrubs: Navy blue Float requirement: Must float across Iowa Methodist MC, Iowa Lutheran, & Iowa Methodist campuses Holiday Requirement: Must work 1-2 of 3 winter holidays (including Thanksgiving), unless unit is closed Local Radius Rule: No candidates within 50 miles of facility (based on driver’s license) Submission/Experience Requirements: Minimum 24 months recent Med Surg experience in hospital/medical center Proficient in Renal, Urology, and Transplant care At least one travel contract completed in past 15 months EPIC EMR experience Level II trauma experience required; Level I trauma experience highly preferred Active Iowa or compact RN license at submission AHA or Red Cross BLS certification Current driver’s license Skills checklist (Med Surg specific) Recent professional reference (preferred, from charge/supervisor/manager within 24 months)Med Ninjas Job ID #19174.
