About the role
The Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for an identified group of patients in an inpatient environment. This role requires competency in delivering care to a primarily adult population in the Trauma/ACS Progressive Care unit. The position is a travel contract through RightSourcing, a contingent management partner.
The Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin regional health network operates eastern Wisconsin's only academic medical center and adult Level I Trauma Center at Froedtert Hospital, Milwaukee, an internationally recognized training and research center engaged in thousands of clinical trials and studies. The network includes five hospitals, more than 1,700 physicians, and nearly 40 health centers and clinics.
Schedule
- 12-hour night shifts
- Float as needed
- Every other weekend
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for an identified group of patients
- Deliver care to primarily adult populations in an inpatient environment
- Operate and manage CADD pumps (epidural and nerve block pumps)
Requirements
- Two (2) years of nursing experience, specifically in RN - Medical/Surgical
- Clinical competence and experience in the care and management of target patient populations
- Experience with CADD pumps (epidural and nerve block pumps)
- Current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC (Nurse Licensure Compact)
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA-approved equivalent
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in nursing (required)
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (preferred)

Pay
Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
