Medical Surgical (MS) Nurse in Kearney, Nebraska. This position involves providing patient care on an acute care Medical Surgical Floor with a focus on ensuring quality health services in a dynamic setting. The role requires flexibility in shift hours and the ability to float to other units as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care on an acute care Medical Surgical Floor
• Float to other units as needed

Schedule

• Shift from 0600–1830 or 1800–0630
• Up to 2 extra mandatory shifts per 6 weeks
• Every other weekend (EOW)
• Occasional holiday work during May–September and November–January

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a relevant setting
• BLS (AHA or ARC) certification
• NIHSS certification

Facility details

• Unit has 23 beds with ratios up to 1:6
• Dayshift ratios are 1:5
• First to float
• Float to PCU for Medical Surgical Unit (MSU) unless telemetry trained
