About the role

Level 2 North is a 28-bed Medical Surgical Unit with a diverse patient population consisting of general and vascular surgery, bariatric surgery, plastic surgery, trauma, and is the stroke unit for the hospital. It is a challenging, fast-paced environment with great learning opportunities for both graduate and experienced nurses. Nursing on this unit is patient-centered and focused on patient safety and delivery of quality care for positive patient outcomes. The unit values teamwork, positivity, and evidence-based, holistic care. Two North has an active Unit Based Council (Shared Governance) that promotes a healthy work environment. New team members receive support during orientation to grow in their professional nursing practice. The interdisciplinary care team uses clinical pathways, patient education, and interactive communication to address all aspects of patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered, evidence-based, and holistic nursing care in a 28-bed Medical Surgical Unit.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure excellent patient care and positive outcomes.
• Participate in unit-based shared governance and contribute to a positive work environment.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) license in Michigan.
• 1 year of Med Surg experience.
• BLS certification (copy required).
• Two professional references covering entire work history.
• SSN and date of birth required for compliance.

Schedule

• 13-week assignment.
• 36 hours per week.
• 12-hour night shifts.

Pay

Pay rate: $2,173.00 - $2,308.00 per week (subject to confirmation). Tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
