Travel Nurse RN - Med Surg - $2,185 per week

Job Summary

A Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical/Surgical (MS) is needed for a 10-week contract on the night shift at a healthcare facility located in Neenah, Wisconsin. The position involves working 12-hour night shifts every weekend, with start times at 5:30 PM. Candidates are required to bring their WI RN license on the first day of work. This role offers an opportunity to work in a busy clinical environment with a focus on trauma, neuro, and orthopedic surgeries.

Job Details

• Locations: Neenah, WI
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, every weekend, starting at 5:30 PM, with a holiday rotation every other weekend, totaling 36 hours per week

Required Qualifications

• WI RN License
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS)
• National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Associate Degree or Certificate
• Minimum 3+ years experience as an RN, including 2+ years Med/Surg experience and 1 travel assignment
• EPIC charting experience within the last 2 years

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with trauma, neuro, and orthopedic trauma surgeries, including procedures such as chest tubes, PCA / epidural / Q-ball, CBI, and care of post-op neuro and ortho trauma surgeries (fusions, back/spines)
• Float rotation may be required throughout the facility within the skillset, to all ThedaCare facilities within a 60-mile radius

Additional Information

• The contract length is 10 weeks, with guaranteed hours per week
• No new travelers are accepted
• Orientation is 8 hours unbillable and occurs during the week prior to start
• The shift involves patient ratios of 1:5-1:6 during nights
• Responsibilities include managing complex post-operative neuro and ortho trauma cases, with expertise in specific procedures and patient care priorities

Pay Package

The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
