Travel Nurse RN - Med Surg - $2,190 per week
Job Summary
The Med Surgical Floor (MS) registered nurse position is located in Wausau, Wisconsin. The role involves providing comprehensive care in a fast-paced post-surgical unit with a focus on pre and post-surgical adult and geriatric patients. The selected candidate will work in a dynamic environment requiring strong multitasking and prioritization skills, with a schedule that includes 12-hour rotating shifts.

Schedule: 12-hour day/night variable shifts, with a guaranteed minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications
Wisconsin RN license
BLS (American Heart Association or ARC)
At least 2+ years of medical surgical experience
Recent hospital experience
Trauma level II experience
Epic charting experience
Prior travel experience if applicable
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
Shift Requirements
12-hour shifts with a rotation between days and nights
Every other weekend and holiday
Unit is closed during holidays
Flu season policy mandates wearing masks if declined vaccines
Float rotation may be required to all inpatient units, but not on call
Additional Information
The unit is a 40-bed inpatient post-surgical care area with high patient turnover, occupancy of 90-95%, and an average length of stay of 2-3 days.
Nurses must efficiently multitask and work collaboratively to address patient acuity and needs.
