About the role

Travel nursing position at Deaconess Illinois Medical Center in Marion, IL. This is a 13-week contract with a target start date of 09/21/2026 (or ASAP). The role is on a Med/Surg/Ortho unit with potential to float to ED/ICU for medical holds only.

Schedule

• Shift: Days (3x12 Hours, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend and holidays as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide primary care on a 36-bed Med/Surg/Ortho unit
• Patient ratios typically 1:5 with a CNA, or 1:4 if CNA is unavailable or during staffing issues
• Float to ED/ICU for medical holds as needed

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience
• Active Illinois RN license (no pending or temporary licenses)
• AHA BLS certification
• EPIC charting experience
• No local candidates (40-mile radius rule applies)
• Must be confident, independent, resilient, and adaptable to change
