About the role
Medical Surgical Floor Nurse Night Shift. This role involves providing patient care on an acute medical‑surgical unit within a healthcare facility, adhering to unit protocols and collaborating with the healthcare team to deliver quality patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Deliver care to patients with diagnoses such as CHF, COPD, cellulitis, R/O, chole, appe, pneumonia, urosepsis, and AKI.
- Work with a nurse‑to‑patient ratio of 1:6/7 (up to 1:7) and utilize a charge nurse system.
- Collaborate with nurse aide staff and monitor techs overseeing telemonitoring.
- Float as needed based on census needs.
- Adhere to unit protocols, including scrub color (navy blue) and use of BIPAP intermittently (no ventilators).
Requirements
- Active RN license.
- BLS (AHA) certification.
- NIHSS certification.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a medical‑surgical setting.
- Familiarity with EPIC charting system.
- Ability to work night shifts on a 12‑hour schedule averaging at least 36 hours per week.
- Submit a copy of an unexpired driver’s license at time of application.
Schedule
Nights, 12‑hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week; weekends and holidays scheduled as needed.
