About the role
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical (MS) nursing on a medical-surgical floor in Greeley, Colorado. This position involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for adult patients in a high-volume acute care setting. The role emphasizes patient-centered care, collaboration with healthcare team members, and adherence to professional nursing standards to support positive patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Provides direct patient care across various units of the medical-surgical floor, including performing assessments, devising care plans, executing interventions, and evaluating patient progress.
- Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care planning and patient safety.
- Documents all patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely in compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards.
- Participates in quality improvement activities and adheres to evidence-based practice guidelines.
- Interacts with patients, families, physicians, and external healthcare providers to coordinate care and ensure effective communication.
- Must be able to respond quickly to patient needs, use proper body mechanics, and lift up to 75 pounds when necessary.
- Performs all duties according to established policies, procedures, regulatory, and accreditation standards.
Requirements
- Current, valid RN license in Colorado.
- BLS certification.
- At least 1 year of recent clinical experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care hospital setting, preferably within the past 12 months.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Additional professional certifications related to medical-surgical nursing are advantageous.
Schedule
- Night shift, 12-hour shifts.
- Minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Duration: 12 weeks.
- Start Date: 09/07/2026.
