About the role
Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) position available in Mattoon, Illinois. This role involves providing care on a general medical observation unit, managing conditions such as COPD, pneumonia, infections, and urinary tract infections. The nurse must be comfortable with Bi-Pap and high-flow oxygen therapy. The position offers a 12-hour daytime schedule on a 36- or 48-hour contract basis.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care on a general medical observation unit
- Manage patient conditions including COPD, pneumonia, infections, and urinary tract infections
- Administer Bi-Pap and high-flow oxygen therapy
Requirements
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Minimum of 2 years experience in medical-surgical nursing
- Valid and verifiable permanent address at least 50 miles from the facility
- Willingness to work every other weekend
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Bi-Pap and high-flow oxygen therapy

Pay
Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
Schedule
- 12-hour days, minimum of 40 hours per week
- Every other weekend required
