Job Summary

A Medical Surgical Nurse specializing in general surgical care is needed in Salem, Virginia. Responsibilities

Schedule

Day shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week

Required Qualifications

• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
• No minimum experience required
• Must possess a nursing degree
• Hold a Virginia nursing license or be eligible for licensure in Virginia

Unit Details

• Dress Code: Navy Blue or White scrubs; no hoodies, pull-overs, or T-shirts are permitted
• Patient ratios typically 1:6
• Baxter IV pumps, Medfusion pumps, and Sequential Compression Devices (SCDs) available on unit
• EMR system utilized: Meditech
• Team-oriented environment requiring a positive attitude and strong patient advocacy skills
