About the role

Travel nursing position in Hilo, Hawaii on the Medical Surgical Floor. This role involves floating between various medical and surgical units on a 12-hour day shift, scheduled for 36 hours per week following orientation.

Schedule

• 12-hour days (0645 to 1915)
• 36 hours per week following first week of orientation

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in a fast-paced environment
• Utilize various medical equipment
• Maintain professional nursing attire
• Float to other units/departments including Medical Unit, Laulima Unit, and occasionally Cardiovascular Unit

Requirements

• Hawaii licensure by the start date
• BLS certification (required)
• ACLS certification (required)
• PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, and ENPC (preferred)
• 0 or more years of experience
• Medical and religious exemption requests will not be accepted in lieu of immunization documentation
• Arrival on the Thursday before the start date to attend employee health appointment

Department Details

• Medical Unit: 77 beds, nurse to patient ratio 1:6 for days and evenings, 1:8 for nights
• Laulima Unit (Surgical Acute): 18 beds, nurse to patient ratio 1:6
• Cardiovascular Unit: 15 beds, nurse to patient ratio 1:4
