About the role
The facility is seeking a Medical Surgical Nurse for a position located in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. The role involves providing high-quality care on a medical-surgical unit, supporting patient needs through critical procedures and daily patient interactions. The candidate will be responsible for adhering to the facility's protocols and ensuring patient safety and comfort.
Schedule
- 12-hour day shifts
- Minimum of 36 hours per week
- Occasional weekend and rotating holidays
Responsibilities
- Perform bedside shift reports and hourly safety rounding
- Foster personal connections with patients
- Document using Meditech Expanse system
- Adhere to facility protocols for patient safety and comfort
Requirements
- Valid active nursing license
- At least 2 years of experience in a hospital setting
- BLS certification
- IV certification
- Experience with med-surg procedures such as wound care, drain management, Foley insertions, central line dressing changes, telemetry monitoring, and EKGs
