Job Summary
A registered nurse with a specialty in Medical Surgery (MS) is needed for a short-term hospital assignment in Saint Louis, Missouri. This role is based in a Level I Trauma Center within a Short Term Acute Care setting. The position involves providing high-level trauma care, and candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The assignment starts on 08/03/2026.
Job Details
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Missouri license or compact state license.
- Five (5) years of experience in trauma nursing, with at least six (6) years of patient ratio experience.
- Experience with EPIC charting system and trauma Level I and II certifications are required.
- Certified in BLS, ACLS, CPI, NIHSS, and TNCC.
- Ability to pass the Relias EKG exam and interpret/manage dysrhythmias is necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous charge nurse experience is preferred.
Additional Information
- The position requires experience with a variety of skills including blood product administration, peripheral line care, phlebotomy, starting IVs, managing spinal cord and traumatic brain injuries, orthopedic trauma, total joint replacements, surgical drains, chest tubes, CPAP/BiPAP, high flow nasal cannula, oxygen therapy, wound care, and level 1 trauma experience.
- The facility is a Magnet and Teaching hospital with 1,266 staffed beds.

Pay Package
The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
