Medical Surgical Nurse (MS) located in southeastern Washington, serving the Tri-Cities (Kennewick, Pasco, and Richland). This position involves providing patient care in a medical surgical floor environment with a focus on caring for geriatric and adult populations. The role requires flexibility and adaptability to deliver high-quality nursing services within a fast-paced hospital setting.
Schedule
- 12-hour shifts, days
- Minimum of 36 hours per week
Unit Information
- Department: Medical Surgical Floor
- Number of Beds: 16 private rooms
- Patient Ratios: 1:4 with 1:3 accommodations for acuity
- Trauma Level: 3
- Equipment: Cardiac monitoring, respiratory support tools
Covering for leave, with opportunities for ongoing assignments based on unit needs and candidate performance.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care in a medical surgical floor environment
- Focus on geriatric and adult populations
- Perform EKG/Cardiac Monitoring
- Conduct respiratory assessment and support
- Medication titration
- EHR documentation using Paragon (McKesson)
Requirements
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification (must have training in ACLS or some type of rhythm interpretation course)
- At least 2 years of nursing experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with EKG/Cardiac Monitoring
- Experience with respiratory assessment and support
- Experience with medication titration
