About the role
Medical Surgical Nursing (MS) position at a healthcare facility in Carmel, Indiana. This role involves providing direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols. The position requires implementing and monitoring patient care plans, assessing patient conditions, and coordinating discharge planning within a 16-bed medical surgical and orthopedic unit. Staff float between units and serve patients with a nurse-patient ratio of 5:1.

Requirements
- Valid nursing license
- At least 1 year of experience in medical surgical nursing
- Current driver’s license or state ID
- Valid nursing license verification
- Professional profile
- Two professional references
Qualifications
- Experience with Sunrise Clinical Manager (SCM) is a plus
Schedule
- Nights shift, 12 hours per shift
- Minimum of 36 hours per week
- Float rotation may be required
Details
The unit consists of a 16-bed medical surgical unit and a 16-bed orthopedic unit operating as one, with staff floating between both units. Staff wear royal blue scrubs.
